My Story

Artist / Designer

Being an artist may sound like a simple decision that you take and stick to, but a creative life can take the scenic route in more ways than one. Through school I was happy and contented, but never felt like I had found my groove academically. I went through university, explored graphic design and found what I wanted to do; I even set up my own freelance graphic design company after almost 5 years in the industry and discovered a career that I truly enjoy.

Along the way I never lost sight of the sense of wonder and discovery I found in creative drawing. It allowed me to feel free and to express myself in a way nothing else could. The only problem is I felt like it was something I had to keep locked away and to keep well away from the eyes of the world.

When lockdown struck us all life took a different path and I began a reset; at first I didn’t even realise it was happening. The change of routine inspired me rather than derailed me, and set me free to grow in confidence and show my creative side. At first it felt like an uncomfortably large step to share my work, but over time I have grown to love and cherish the reactions, thoughts and feelings my work can evoke. This is my story so far and I hope to write it for many more years to come.
