12 Years of DesignR Studio – Still Here, Still Designing, Still Grateful

Twelve years ago, on June 13th, DesignR Studio was born. And this year, our birthday lands on a Friday the 13th – the same date I passed my driving test (first time!) back in 2008. A fun little full-circle moment that reminds me even “unlucky” days can lead to the best outcomes.

Over the years, DesignR Studio has grown, shifted, and adapted – and so have I. These days, I’m deep in the toddler phase of parenting, which means life (and work!) runs on nap windows, snack breaks, and nursery hours. Juggling business and family life can be chaotic, but the flexibility of freelancing has been a gift – allowing me to stay creative, committed, and connected with clients while navigating this busy season of life.

DesignR Studio continues to specialise in graphic design for print and digital media, working with clients to bring their ideas to life through beautifully considered design. From booklets, brochures, large format print and leaflets to business cards, flyers, social graphics, and more – I love helping businesses show up with clarity and confidence in their brand.

When it comes to print design, experience really matters. A well-designed piece doesn’t just look good – it communicates clearly, prints cleanly, and leaves a lasting impression. Having worked closely with print suppliers for over a decade, I know how to design with the end result in mind, ensuring everything runs smoothly from screen to finished product.
