Meet the founder

Rachel Spry holds a 1st Class Hons and spent six years in the design and print industry before founding DesignR Studio. Her passion lies in getting to know local businesses, finding new ways to bring their brands to life, and working with them for years to come.

Every mark has to have a purpose. Each individual element of your design should be necessary, not indulgent.  We take the time to discuss your aims for your business and understand what you want to gain from the image of your business.

We will guide you step-by-step building a brand/design that suits you and is current for your market.

Freelancers VS Agency Designers

A growing number of clients prefer using a freelance graphic designer to using a corporate large design studio/agency. There are many benefits to working with a skilled freelance designer with hands-on studio experience.

The process can be exactly the same as you’d get from a large corporate design studio but at a fraction of the cost – because a freelancer has less overheads and more creative time to bring your concept right through to completion.

You also get to work much more closely with your designer, instead of relaying everything through an account manager and sitting on a tight schedule.

Collaboration

Collaboration is at the very heart of creative industries. Digital design studios unite with printers, copywriters, marketing experts, web designers, front-end pixel shifters and back-end code writers.

Even on the smallest of print projects, a designer and printer will share a cup of coffee and discuss the most effective use of their skill sets in order to produce the best work possible.

Yet collaborative projects are not just about uniting necessary skills in order to get a job done.  Collaborative projects are great playgrounds to leave your comfort zone and try new things. It’s exciting.
